The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers who use Interstate 17 in north Phoenix to plan for Greenway Road to be closed between 29th and 25th avenues as work continues on a regional drainage system project. Drivers should slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the following restrictions are in place:

Greenway Road between 29th and 25th avenues and the north- and southbound I-17 on- and off-ramps at Greenway Road will be closed this weekend until 5 a.m. Monday, May 2. The north- and southbound I-17 frontage roads between Greenway and Thunderbird roads also will be closed.

Detour: Drivers can use 19th or 35th avenues to Cactus or Bell roads to access north- and southbound I-17.
- To access Greenway Road, drivers may exit I-17 at Bell or Thunderbird roads and use 19th or 35th avenues.
- For access to Tuscany Pointe Apartments, a portion of the frontage road will remain open. Drivers may travel both north- and southbound from Country Gables Drive to the apartment complex. Motorists may also travel southbound to Thunderbird Road.
- UPDATE: Eastbound Greenway Road at I-17 will remain closed between 29th and 25th avenues through Friday, May 6. The following ramps and frontage roads will also be closed:
- The southbound I-17 on-ramp and frontage road at Greenway Road
- The northbound I-17 off-ramp at Greenway Road remains closed

Reminder: The southbound I-17 frontage road between Thunderbird and Cactus roads, as well as the on-ramp at Thunderbird Road and off-ramp at Cactus Road will remain closed through late 2022.
