Alternating lane restrictions on State Route 95 in Quartzsite scheduled May 3-4

Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for lane restrictions on State Route 95 in Quartzsite beginning Tuesday, May 3, at 6 a.m.

Maintenance crews are scheduled to extract pavement samples in an effort to gather data that’ll help maintain quality roadways.

The following restrictions will occur on SR 95 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, and Wednesday, May 4.

  • SR 95 will be reduced to one lane in both directions between mileposts 109 (near Senter Street) and 116 (near Plomosa Road).
  • A 16-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
  • Flaggers will direct motorists through the workzone.
  • The speed limit on SR 95 will be reduced to 45 mph.

Drivers should obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices and use caution around construction personnel.
