Southbound State Route 347 at Old Maricopa Road will be narrowed to one lane beginning 3 a.m. Monday, May 2, and will continue through July. To ease impacts on weekday afternoon traffic, southbound SR 347 will be open to two lanes in the work zone from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Occasional weekend work may be scheduled. Northbound lane restrictions will be scheduled following substantial completion of the southbound paving work.
This intersection improvement project includes installation of new traffic signals and construction of north- and southbound acceleration lanes for traffic entering SR 347 at Old Maricopa Road.
Drivers should allow extra travel time and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
