Plan for lane restrictions on US 89 north of Flagstaff through March 31

The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising motorists to plan for intermittent lane restrictions on an 11-mile stretch of US 89 north of Flagstaff from Wednesday, March 16, through Thursday, March 31.

Drivers should slow down, proceed through the work zone with caution and watch for construction personnel and equipment while the following restrictions are in place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

  • North- and southbound US 89 will be narrowed intermittently to one lane in each direction from Townsend-Winona Road to Sunset Crater Road (mileposts 421 - 432).

The lane restrictions are needed so crews can remove trees that present a safety hazard along the roadway.
