Lane closures on State Route 85 in Buckeye scheduled Feb. 27-March 2

Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for lane closures on State Route 85 in Buckeye beginning Sunday, Feb. 27, at midnight. 

The Union Pacific Railroad company will be replacing the railroad tracks and will require daily 24 hour closures on SR 85 between MC 85 and Baseline Road. 

The following restrictions will occur:

• Northbound SR 85 will be closed between MC 85 and Baseline Road on Sunday, Feb. 27, and ending Monday, Feb. 28.
• Southbound SR 85 will be closed between MC 85 and Baseline Road on Tuesday, March 1, and Wednesday, March 2.

Motorists should allow extra travel time and plan for possible delays while work is underway.
