Construction on US 60 from Vulture Mine Road to Los Altos Drive begins Monday

Lane restrictions and minimal delays expected during work hours

                                                                                          

PRESCOTT – Construction of improvements on U.S. 60 from Vulture Mine Road to Los Altos Drive in Wickenburg will begin today, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

 

The $2.2 million project includes widening the highway to add a two-way left turn lane, construction of a multi-use path along the north side of the roadway plus driveway and drainage improvements.

 

Work hours will be Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with an anticipated completion date by late July. Motorists should expect lane restrictions throughout the project. At least one lane in each direction will be open at all times.

 

ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

 

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
