Eastbound I-10 closed from 43rd Ave to I-17 the weekend of Nov. 19-22

Drivers with plans to use eastbound Interstate 10 (Papago Freeway) in the Phoenix area over the weekend of Nov. 19-22 should allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes while the following closures are in place for pavement removal: 

• Eastbound I-10 will be closed between 43rd Avenue and the I-17 “Stack” interchange from 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22. 
• The following ramps also will be closed:
• The eastbound I-10 on-ramps at 51st and 67th avenues.
• The northbound Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway) ramp to eastbound I-10.
• Detour: Drivers may consider exiting ahead of the closure and use either McDowell Road or Van Buren Street to I-17 or to 19th Avenue to access eastbound I-10.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work is underway.
