State Route 51 Update

ADOT seeks input on planned State Route 51 Freeway Management System project

Comments due by March 9, 2012

PHOENIXThe Arizona Department of Transportation invites the public to comment on a planned Freeway Management System (FMS) project designed to make travel safer and more efficient on SR 51 (Piestewa Freeway) between Glendale Avenue and Loop 101 (Pima Freeway).

ADOT's Freeway Management System uses the latest technologies to provide reliable travel times, improved safety, quicker response to incidents and enhanced information for drivers. The SR 51 project includes features such as closed circuit television safety cameras, two overhead message boards, ramp meters and more.
