Update: Interstate 10 and Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) closures planned starting tonight, Sept. 17

This advisory updates the detours for the restrictions scheduled Sept. 17 - 19.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers who use I-10 between Avondale Boulevard and I-17 in Phoenix to plan for delays and use caution while the following weekend closures are in place from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, until 5 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, for pavement removal. Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.

• The east- and westbound I-10 ramps to northbound Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) will be closed.
• Detour: Eastbound I-10 drivers can exit at northbound 107th Avenue to take eastbound Thomas Road to access northbound Loop 101. Westbound I-10 drivers can use northbound 91st Avenue to westbound McDowell or Thomas roads to access northbound Loop 101.
• The westbound I-10 on-ramp at 83rd Avenue will be closed. 
• Detour: Drivers can use the on-ramp at 75th Avenue as an alternative.
• The eastbound I-10 frontage road will be closed between 107th and 99th avenues from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20.
