Lane restrictions on Historic Route 66 in Flagstaff scheduled through Aug. 6

Drivers should use caution and allow extra travel time.

The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising motorists who use Historic Route 66 (B40) in Flagstaff to expect ongoing lane restrictions as work continues on the Rio de Flag Bridge replacement project.

The following lane restrictions will occur around-the-clock from 6 a.m. Thursday, July 22, through 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6:

The east- and westbound travel lanes will be reduced to one lane in each direction with traffic shifted to the outside lanes of the roadway.
An 11-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.

Drivers should slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
