The Arizona Department of Transportation is making improvements to the 10 mile corridor of State Route 77 (Oracle Road) from the Interstate 10 junction - Miracle Mile to Calle Concordia.
Paving is expected to begin between Magee Road and Calle Concordia the night of Sunday, July 18. Most work will take place Sunday through Thursday nights between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. One lane will remain open at all times during the work.
Work will begin north of Magee Road and continue to Calle Concordia. Paving work will rotate nightly between north- and southbound lanes.
Crews will be operating large milling machines to grind out existing pavement and heavy rollers to compact new pavement. In addition, large haul trucks will be transporting materials in and out of the work area.
One lane will be paved at a time in rotating directions. Motorists can expect a reduced speed limit and uneven pavement on SR 77 between Magee Road and Calle Concordia for the next few weeks.
The intersection of Magee Road and SR 77 will not be paved at this time due to the installation of new dual-turn lanes anticipated at a future date.
During the day, all lanes on SR 77 will remain open, most of the time.

Crews are completing sidewalks and curb work on the south side of Miracle Mile between I-10 and SR 77.

Crews are completing sidewalks and curb work on the east side of SR 77 between Miracle Mile and River Road.

Crews are completing sidewalk and curb work on the north side of Miracle Mile from SR 77 to I-10.

The week of July 26, sidewalk and curb work will begin on the west side of SR 77 between River Road and Miracle Mile.
Motorists travelling on SR 77 and Miracle Mile will also see intermittent lane closures.
Most work will take place Sunday night through Thursday night between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. (with the exception of paving work on SR 77 between Magee Road and Calle Concordia with work beginning at 7 p.m.).
Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
