Westbound I-40 narrows to one lane at Townsend-Winona Road June 28-29

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for daytime travel restrictions at Interstate 40 and Townsend-Winona Road, about 14 miles east of Flagstaff, as maintenance work is performed.

Drivers should slow down, proceed through the work zone with caution and watch for construction personnel while the following restrictions are in place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, June 28, and Tuesday, June 29:

Westbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane at Townsend-Winona Road.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph.
I-40 on- and off-ramps at Townsend-Winona Road will remain open.
