The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for the following full closures of Interstate 17 for routine maintenance and repair:
- Southbound I-17 will be closed between Thunderbird Road and Peoria Avenue from 4:30 a.m. Saturday, June 26, to 4 a.m. Sunday, June 27. The southbound I-17 on-ramps at Greenway Parkway and Thunderbird and Cactus roads will also be closed.
- DETOUR: Drivers can use 19th or 35th avenues to the Peoria Avenue on-ramp as an alternate route to enter southbound I-17.
- Northbound I-17 will be closed between Peoria Avenue and Cactus Road from 4:30 a.m. Sunday, June 27, to 4 a.m. Monday, June 28. The northbound I-17 on-ramps at Peoria Avenue and Dunlap Avenue will also be closed.
- DETOUR: Drivers can use 19th or 35th avenues to the Cactus Road on-ramp as an alternate route to enter northbound I-17.
ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while repairs are underway.
