I-10/Alvernon Way interchange work and ramp closures scheduled overnight May 26-27

The Arizona Department of Transportation will be completing a pavement preservation project on Alvernon Way near the Interstate 10 interchange in Tucson overnight Wednesday, May 26, and Thursday, May 27.

Crews will work from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night.

While the road work will take place on Alvernon Way, the eastbound I-10 entrance and exit ramps at Alvernon Way will close along with the eastbound frontage road from Palo Verde Road to Alvernon Way. The westbound I-10 exit ramp will remain open.

Motorists should use an alternate route and avoid the area.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
