Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for lane restrictions on Interstate 10 near Buckeye beginning Monday, April 26, and ending Thursday, April 29.

Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) personnel are scheduled to survey and document changes to quality of the road.

The following restrictions will occur from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.:

  • Eastbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane between mileposts 106 and 109 (Sun Valley Parkway/Palo Verde Road).
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph.
  • A 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.

ADOT reminds motorists to plan for delays, proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
