The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for nightly lane restrictions and ramp closures on Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) between Interstate 10 and Thunderbird Road, from April 4, through April 9, for pavement maintenance and striping.
ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the following restrictions are under way:
Southbound Loop 101
- Alternating lane restrictions on southbound Loop 101 between Thunderbird Road and I-10 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, April 4, until the morning of Friday, April 9.
Northbound Loop 101
- Northbound Loop 101 will be narrowed to two lanes (right lanes closed) in areas between I-10 and Thunderbird Road from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, April 5, until the morning of Friday, April 9.
- Northbound Loop 101 on- or off-ramps between Indian School and Thunderbird roads will also be closed at times overnight as needed.
Note: Work is planned to limit impacts on travel to the COVID-19 vaccination site at State Farm Stadium. If any exits near the stadium are closed at night in the coming weeks, please plan on using another nearby off-ramp to access the area.
