Preliminary work on the SR 77 at I-10/Miracle Mile to Calle Concordia project is set to begin the first week of April

The Arizona Department of Transportation is working to improve the area of State Route 77 (Oracle Road) at the junction of Interstate10/Miracle Mile to Calle Concordia. This project which is a combination of three separate projects, will span SR 77 (Oracle Road) between the junction of I-10/ Miracle Mile to River Road, and from River Road to Calle Concordia in the town of Oro Valley. 

Construction will begin in early April and will last approximately two years. Initial construction will begin on the south end of the project on Miracle Mile near I-10. 

Businesses will be contacted, prior to major impacts, if construction will temporarily impact access to their property. ADOT will be available to address any concerns and ask for patience while work is completed.

As part of the project, stakeholders can expect the following work to occur:

  • Pavement rehabilitation from I-10 and Miracle Mile to SR 77 and then to Calle Concordia
  • Lighting improvements, including new LED street lights between River and Ina Roads
  • Roadway drainage improvement
  • Utilities relocation
  • Signal and intersection improvement between River and Ina Roads
  • Reconstructing driveways, sidewalks and sidewalk ramps between I-10/Miracle Mile and River Road to meet ADA compliance
  • Constructing new ADA approved ramps, sidewalks, driveways between River and Magee roads
  • Adding new dual left turn lanes to the intersection of Magee and Oracle roads
  • Installing a storm drain system from River to Orange Grove roads
  • Reconstructing and repaving the roadway from River Road to Calle Concordia
