This advisory updates the schedule for upcoming restrictions on Interstate 40 and Meteor Crater Bridge.
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following restrictions on Interstate 40 at the Meteor Crater Road traffic interchange - about 30 miles east of Flagstaff - as work continues on the Meteor Crater Bridge rehabilitation project:
- Meteor Crater Road will be closed between the east- and westbound I-40 on- and off-ramps daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, to Friday, Jan. 29.

Detour from westbound I-40 to southbound Meteor Crater Road: Exit at Two Guns Road (milepost 230) and then re-enter the highway eastbound and exit at Meteor Crater Road.

Detour from northbound Meteor Crater Road to westbound I-40: Drive eastbound on I-40 and exit at Meteor City Road. Re-enter the highway to proceed westbound on I-40.
- East- and westbound I-40 will be closed at Meteor Crater Road from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29.

Detour: Drivers will use the on- and off-ramps at the I-40/Meteor Crater Road interchange to exit and re-enter the highway.
Speed will be reduced to 45 mph.
ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work is underway.
