Intermittent delays and closures on US 95 in Yuma scheduled Dec. 19

Military testing requires full closures during morning and afternoon hours

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for temporary closures and delays on US 95 north of Yuma Saturday, Dec. 19.

The U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground is scheduled to conduct military testing that will require the road to close at three separate times to ensure public safety.

Restrictions are scheduled in 30-minute intervals.

Closures are scheduled to take place between 7:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
US 95 will be closed in both directions between Martinez Lake Road (milepost 47) and milepost 70.

Flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic. Drivers are asked to use caution, obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices, and use caution around public safety personnel and equipment.
