Updated: Nightly ramp closures at I-10/I-17 ‘Stack’ interchange Oct. 26-28

Crews conducting scheduled bridge inspections

Drivers with overnight travel plans this week (Oct. 26-28) at the I-10/I-17 “Stack” interchange in Phoenix should plan on ramp closures, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The following ramp closures are scheduled while crews conduct regularly scheduled bridge inspections at the Stack interchange:

  • Westbound I-10 ramp to northbound I-17 closed from 9 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 27). DETOUR: Westbound I-10 traffic can exit to northbound 19th Avenue and use westbound McDowell Road to reach northbound I-17.
  • Westbound I-10 ramp to southbound I-17 closed from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 28). Southbound I-17 on-ramp south of McDowell Road also closed. DETOUR: Westbound I-10 traffic can exit to southbound 19th Avenue and use westbound Adams Street or Buckeye Road to reach southbound I-17.
  • UPDATED: Westbound I-10 ramp to southbound I-17 closed from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 3 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 29). DETOUR: Westbound I-10 traffic can exit to southbound 19th Avenue and use westbound Adams Street or Buckeye Road to reach southbound I-17.
  • UPDATED: Northbound I-17 ramp to eastbound I-10 closed from 11:59 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 29). DETOUR: Northbound I-17 traffic can exit at Adams Street (continue north on frontage road to eastbound Van Buren Street) or exit at McDowell Road and travel east to 19th Avenue to reach eastbound I-10.
