Southbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) closed between Rio Salado Parkway and Baseline Road this weekend

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for a full closure of southbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) between Rio Salado Parkway and Baseline Road from 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, to 5 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 5, for pavement striping. The following ramps will also be closed:

• Southbound Loop 101 on-ramps at McKellips Road, University Drive and Broadway Road
• East- and westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) interchange ramps to southbound Loop 101 
• East- and westbound US 60 interchange ramps to southbound Loop 101
• Eastbound US 60 on-ramp at Rural Road

Detour: All traffic on southbound Loop 101 will be directed to east- and westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) or Rio Salado Parkway. Drivers can use McClintock Drive and Dobson Road as alternate routes for north-south travel.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work is underway.
