Guardrail work to begin Aug. 24 on the north side of the Interstate 10/State Route 83 interchange

Final work for the bridge deck replacement project at I-10/SR 83 and I-10/Wentworth Road to be completed in September

Motorists who use the frontage road on the north side of the Interstate 10/State Route 83 interchange near Vail should expect short delays while crews replace guardrail starting Monday, Aug. 24. In addition, the short connector road between I-10/SR 83 and the frontage road will close.

The work will be completed during daytime hours over two weeks with flaggers directing traffic.

Also final work on the I-10/SR 83 and I-10/Wentworth Road interchanges, such as a fog seal and final striping, will be completed in early- to mid-September.

Any work that will require intermittent closures of ramps or bridges will be completed overnight between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
