REMINDER: Expect delays for paving work on US 60 between Superior, Top-of-the-World to begin June 29

Motorists who use US 60 between Superior and Top-of-the-World will encounter lane restrictions and delays starting Monday, June 29, as crews begin resurfacing the highway.

Work is expected to take up to six weeks. Work hours will be from sunrise to sunset, Monday through Thursday with a shortened workday planned on Fridays due to anticipated higher traffic volumes in the afternoon.

Crews plan to start in Superior and move east towards Top-of-the-World. While paving is underway near the US 60/State Route 177 interchange Monday, June 29, through Wednesday, July 1, drivers should plan for ramp closures and be prepared to follow signed detours.

Flaggers and pilot cars will guide traffic through the work zone.

Because of the terrain, limited sight distances and relatively high traffic volumes, significant delays of more than 15 minutes are likely, especially during peak travel periods.

Drivers should proceed with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
