Loop 101 (Price Freeway) Improvement Project – Baseline Road to Loop 202 (Santan Freeway): Closures and restrictions for June 19 to June 26

Plan for northbound closures between the Santan Freeway and Warner Road over the next two weekends

Travelers who use the Loop 101 (Price Freeway) in Chandler, Tempe and Mesa should prepare for full closures of northbound lanes over the next two weekends, as well as other lane and ramp restrictions while improvement work continues. The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while these restrictions are scheduled to be in place: 

UPCOMING FULL CLOSURES

• The northbound Price Freeway will be closed between the Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) and Warner Road from 10 p.m. Friday, June 19, to 5 a.m. Monday, June 22, for diamond grinding to smooth the concrete pavement. All Santan Freeway ramps to the northbound Price Freeway will be closed, and the northbound Price Freeway on-ramp at Price Road will be closed. DETOURS: Traffic can detour along the northbound Price frontage road to Warner Road. Drivers on the eastbound Santan Freeway can use northbound McClintock Drive to Warner Road to access the Price Freeway. Drivers on the westbound Santan Freeway can use northbound Dobson Road to Warner Road to access the Price Freeway.
• NOTE:This closure is scheduled to occur again from 10 p.m. Friday, June 26, to 5 a.m. Monday, June 29. Detour routes will remain the same.

RAMP AND LANE RESTRICTIONS

• The northbound Price Freeway on-ramp at Chandler Boulevard and the off-ramp at Ray Road will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Tuesday, June 23, through the morning of Friday, June 26.
• The northbound Price Freeway will be narrowed to two lanes between the bridge over Chandler Boulevard and the Ray Road on-ramp nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Tuesday, June 23, through the morning of Friday, June 26.
• The northbound Price Freeway on-ramp at Ray Road will be closed from 9 p.m. Thursday, June 25, to 5 a.m. Friday, June 26.
