Northwest Valley drivers should plan for separate closures of north- and southbound Loop 303 (Bob Stump Memorial Highway) this weekend beginning Friday night until Sunday afternoon as work crews continue to make technology improvements. The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to expect delays and use detours while the following closures are in place:
-
Southbound Loop 303 will be closed between Greenway and Waddell roads from 10 p.m. Friday, June 19, to noon, Saturday, June 20, for installation of an electronic message sign and traffic sensors. Detour: Loop 303 traffic will be detoured west on Greenway Road to southbound Cotton Lane and use eastbound Waddell Road to reconnect with southbound Loop 303.
-
Northbound Loop 303 will be closed between Northern Parkway and Peoria Avenue from 10 p.m. Saturday, June 20, to noon, Sunday, June 21, for installation of an electronic message sign and traffic sensors. During the same time, the westbound Northern Parkway ramp to northbound Loop 303 will be closed. Detours: Northbound Loop 303 traffic will detour onto eastbound Northern Parkway and use northbound Reems Road to westbound Peoria Avenue to reconnect with northbound Loop 303. Westbound Northern Parkway traffic can use northbound Sarival Avenue and westbound Peoria Avenue to reach northbound Loop 303
