I-10 (Papago Freeway) restricted in both directions between Dysart Road and Avondale Boulevard starting Friday night, June 12

 

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for ramp closures and lane restrictions on east-and westbound Interstate 10 between Dysart Road and Avondale Boulevard from 8 p.m. Friday, June 12 through 5 p.m. Sunday, June 14 for roadway striping, bridge painting and sign installation.

Drivers should plan to use detours and allow extra travel time while the following restrictions are in place:

  • East- and westbound I-10 will be narrowed to two lanes between Dysart Road and Avondale Boulevard beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, June 12, through 5 p.m. Saturday, June 14.

Several I-10 ramps will also be closed from 5 p.m. Saturday, June 13 through 5 p.m. Sunday, June 14.

  • The eastbound I-10 Dysart Road on-ramp will be closed. DETOUR: Consider using Van Buren Street or McDowell Road to Avondale Boulevard to access  I-10.
  • The eastbound I-10 Avondale Boulevard off-ramp will be closed. DETOUR: Exit at 107th Avenue and use Van Buren Street or McDowell Road to access Avondale Boulevard.
  • The westbound I-10 Avondale Boulevard on-ramp will be closed. DETOUR: Consider using Van Buren Street or McDowell Road to Dysart Road to access I-10.
  • The westbound I-10 Dysart Road off-ramp will be closed. DETOUR: Exit at Litchfield Road and use Van Buren Street or McDowell Road to access Dysart Road.

*The schedule may be adjusted as work progresses.

Drivers should use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work continues on the future interchange at I-10 and Fairway Drive. For more information, please visit the project website.
