Interstate 8 Mohawk Rest Area closures scheduled May 6-7

Interstate 8 Mohawk Rest Area closures scheduled May 6-7

The Mohawk Rest Areas along Interstate 8 are scheduled to be closed Wednesday, May 6 and Thursday, May 7.

Contractors are scheduled to pave the road. To protect the safety of the workers adjacent to the interstate, the Mohawk Rest Area ramps will be closed.

The closures are scheduled to take place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Westbound I-8 Mohawk Rest Area (milepost 55) will be closed on Wednesday, May 6.
Eastbound I-8 Mohawk Rest Area (milepost 55) will be closed on Thursday, May 7.

Eastbound I-8 travelers will be able to use the Sentinel Rest Area at milepost 83.
