Drivers who use the Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) between Interstate 17 in Phoenix and Pima Road in Scottsdale should slow down in the construction zone and use caution while the following restrictions are in place:
WEEKEND CLOSURES & RESTRICTIONS
Pima Freeway from State Route 51 to Cave Creek Road
- The westbound Pima Freeway will be closed from State Route 51 to Cave Creek Road from 9 p.m. Friday, April 24, until 5 a.m. on Monday, April 27. Detour: Westbound Pima Freeway traffic will be detoured onto southbound SR 51 to Union Hills Drive, west to Union Hills Drive, and north on Cave Creek Road to re-enter the westbound Pima Freeway.
State Route 51 at the Pima Freeway
- The ramp from northbound SR 51 to the westbound Pima Freeway will be closed beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday, April 24, until 5 a.m. Monday, April 27. Detour: Traffic can exit SR 51 at Union Hills Drive, travel west to Cave Creek Road and north to enter the westbound Pima Freeway at Cave Creek Road.
Pima Freeway at Cave Creek Road
- The westbound Pima Freeway off-ramp at Cave Creek Road will be closed from 9 p.m. on Friday, April 24, until 5 a.m. on Monday, April 27. Detour: Traffic can exit the freeway at Tatum Boulevard, travel north to Deer Valley Drive and west to Cave Creek Road.
Cave Creek Road at the Pima Freeway
- North-and southbound Cave Creek Road will be closed at the Pima Freeway from 9 p.m. on Friday, April 24, until 5 a.m. on Monday, April 27. Southbound detour: Use the westbound Pima Freeway frontage road (Beardsley Road) to Seventh Street and return on the eastbound frontage road to access southbound Cave Creek Road. Northbound detour: Use eastbound Beardsley Road to northbound 32nd Street and westbound Rose Garden Lane to access northbound Cave Creek Road.
Seventh Street at the Pima Freeway
- Beginning at 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, the westbound Pima Freeway off-ramp at Seventh Street will be closed through late June for reconstruction. See a flier here. Detour: Exit at Cave Creek Road and use the westbound Pima Freeway frontage road (Beardsley Road) to Seventh Street.
Hayden Road at the Pima Freeway
- North-and southbound Hayden Road at the Pima Freeway will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, April 24, until 5 a.m. Monday, April 27. Northbound detour: Travel south on Hayden Road to Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard, west to Scottsdale Road, north to Thompson Peak Parkway and east to reconnect with Hayden Road. Southbound detour: Travel north on Hayden Road to Thompson Peak Parkway, travel west to Scottsdale Road, south to Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and east to reconnect with Hayden Road.
UPCOMING CLOSURES & RESTRICTIONS
Pima Freeway between Interstate 17 and 15th Avenue
- The eastbound Pima Freeway will be restricted to two lanes and the westbound Pima Freeway will be restricted to three lanes between I-17 and 15th Avenue nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday, April 27, and continuing until the morning of Friday, May 1.
Pima Freeway between Hayden Road and Pima Road/Princess Drive
- The eastbound Pima Freeway will be restricted to two lanes between Hayden Road and Pima Road/Princess Drive nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning on Tuesday, April 28, and continuing until the morning of Thursday, April 30.
Cave Creek Road at the Pima Freeway
- The eastbound Pima Freeway off-ramp at Cave Creek Road will be closed from 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, until 5 a.m. on Thursday, April 30. Detour: Exit at Seventh Street and use the eastbound frontage road to Cave Creek Road.
Pima Freeway from Cave Creek Road to Seventh Street
- The westbound Pima Freeway will be closed between Cave Creek Road and Seventh Street from 9 p.m. Friday, May 1, to 5 a.m. on Saturday, May 2. Detour: Traffic will be detoured onto the westbound frontage road between Cave Creek Road and Seventh Street.
16th Street at the Pima Freeway
- North-and southbound 16th Street at the Pima Freeway will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, May 1, to 5 a.m. on Monday, May 4. Northbound detour: Use the eastbound Pima Freeway frontage road to Cave Creek Road and return on the westbound frontage road to northbound 16th Street. Southbound detour: Use the westbound Pima Freeway frontage road to Seventh Street and return on the eastbound frontage road to southbound 16th Street.
Pima Freeway between Scottsdale and Hayden roads
- The eastbound Pima Freeway will be closed between Scottsdale and Hayden roads from 9 p.m. on Friday, May 1, until 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 2. Detour: Eastbound traffic can use southbound Scottsdale Road to eastbound Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard to re-enter the eastbound Pima Freeway. Drivers who want to access Hayden Road can use north-or southbound Scottsdale Road to eastbound Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard or Thomas Peak Parkway.
- The westbound Pima Freeway will be closed between Hayden and Scottsdale roads from 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, to 5 a.m. Monday, May 4. Detour: Westbound traffic can use northbound Hayden Road to westbound Thompson Peak Parkway, and travel south on Scottsdale Road to re-enter the westbound Pima Freeway. Drivers who want to access Scottsdale Road can use north-or southbound Hayden Road to westbound Thomas Peak Parkway or Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard.
Tatum Boulevard at the Pima Freeway
- North-and southbound Tatum Boulevard will be closed at the Pima Freeway from 9 p.m. on Friday, May 1, to 5 a.m. on Monday, May 4. Southbound detour: Use eastbound Deer Valley Drive to southbound 56th Street and westbound to Mayo Blvd to Tatum Blvd. Northbound detour: Use eastbound Mayo Blvd to northbound 56th Street and westbound Deer Valley Drive.
Seventh Street at the Pima Freeway
- Beginning at 8 p.m. Sunday, May 3, the eastbound Pima Freeway on-ramp at Seventh Street will be closed continuously for reconstruction through early July. Detour: Use the eastbound frontage road to enter the eastbound Pima Freeway at Cave Creek Road.
