Plan for closures of southbound Interstate 19 between I-10 and Irvington Road April 22 and 23

Southbound Interstate 19 will be closed between the I-10/I-19 junction and Irvington Road tonight Wednesday, April 22, and Thursday, April 23, for paving work. The 29th Street on-ramp and the

I-19 exit from I-10 will also be closed.

The work will begin at 9 p.m. and continue to 5 a.m. the following morning.

Motorists can use the following alternate routes from I-10 and the I-10 frontage road to avoid the closures:

  • Westbound 29th Street/Silverlake Road to southbound Mission Road to Irvington Road
  • Southbound Sixth Avenue or Park Avenue to Irvington Road

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
