Plan for ramp and lane restrictions on I-10 (Papago Freeway) between Dysart Road and Avondale Boulevard starting Friday night, April 17

 

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for ramp closures and lane restrictions in both directions of Interstate 10 (Papago Freeway) in the Avondale area from 8 p.m. Friday, April 17, to 5 a.m. Sunday, April 19. I-10 is scheduled to be narrowed to three lanes between Dysart Road and Avondale Boulevard for resurfacing, lighting and sign installation.

Ramp closures are scheduled to occur sequentially as listed below:

  • The westbound I-10 on-ramp at Avondale Boulevard will be closed. DETOUR: Drivers can use McDowell Road or Van Buren Street to access westbound I-10 at Dysart Road.
  • The westbound I-10 off-ramp at Dysart Road will be closed. DETOUR: Drivers can use Litchfield Road to McDowell Road or Van Buren Street to access westbound I-10 at Dysart Road.
  • The eastbound I-10 on-ramp at Dysart Road will be closed. DETOUR: Drivers can use McDowell Road or Van Buren Street to access eastbound I-10 at Avondale Boulevard.
  • The eastbound I-10 off-ramp at Avondale Boulevard will be closed. DETOUR: Drivers can use 107th Avenue to McDowell Road or Van Buren Street to access eastbound I-10 at Avondale Boulevard.

*The schedule may be adjusted as work progresses.
