Northwest Valley drivers should plan for closures of northbound Loop 303 (Bob Stump Memorial Highway) beginning Friday night, Feb. 7, as work continues on a technology improvement project. The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to expect delays and use detours while the following closures are in place as crews install traffic flow sensors:
- Northbound Loop 303 will be closed between El Mirage Road and Happy Valley Parkway from 10 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday, Feb. 8, for installation of traffic flow sensors. Detour: Traffic can exit to southbound El Mirage Road, travel to eastbound Bell Road, then go northbound on 99th Avenue/Lake Pleasant Parkway to reach Loop 303 beyond the closure.
- Northbound Loop 303 will be closed between Happy Valley and Lone Mountain parkways from 10 p.m. Saturday to noon Sunday, Feb. 9, for installation of traffic-flow sensors. Detour: Traffic can exit to westbound eastbound Happy Valley Parkway and use northbound Lake Pleasant Parkway to reach Loop 303 beyond the closure.
- The southbound Loop 303 on-ramp at El Mirage Road will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10. Detour: Alternate routes include using southbound El Mirage Road to westbound Bell Road to access southbound Loop 303.
