Drivers should allow extra travel time and consider an alternate route

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the nighttime full closure of southbound Interstate 17 at Sunset Point (exit 252) while ADOT crews install concrete barriers along the roadway.
- Southbound I-17 will be closed from Sunset Point (milepost 252) to Bumble Bee Road (milepost 248) from 10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, to 2 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 15, and from 10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, to 2 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16.
ADOT advises drives to consider traveling through the area before or after the closure, or use an alternate route.
