State Route 80 intermittent lane restrictions to begin Dec. 9 in Bisbee

Motorists traveling along State Route 80 in Bisbee between the tunnel and downtown Old Bisbee will encounter intermittent lane restrictions starting Monday, Dec. 9.

Arizona Department of Transportation crews will assist Old Bisbee Firewise workers in removing brush along the highway to reduce the fire risk.

Work is scheduled weekdays between 7 a.m and 5 p.m. The project is expected to continue through January.

Flaggers will control traffic, when necessary, and short delays are expected.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
