Road closures scheduled through Nov. 21 for the Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) Improvement Project – Interstate 17 to Pima Road

Drivers who use the Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) between Interstate 17 in Phoenix and Princess Drive/Pima Road in Scottsdale should slow down in the construction zone and use caution while the following restrictions are in place:

WEEKEND CLOSURES

32nd Street at the Pima Freeway (see map below)

  • North- and southbound 32nd Street will be closed at the Pima Freeway from 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18.
    • Detour: Use Rose Garden Lane or Beardsley Road to Cave Creek Road to cross the Pima Freeway and access 32nd Street.

Pima Freeway from Hayden to Scottsdale roads

  • The Pima Freeway will be restricted to two lanes in both directions between Hayden and Scottsdale roads from 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, as construction continues on the new Loop 101 bridge at the future Miller Road alignment.


UPCOMING CLOSURES

32nd Street at the Pima Freeway

  • North- and southbound 32nd Street will be closed at the Pima Freeway overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday, Nov. 18, and continuing through the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 20.
    • Detour: Use Rose Garden Lane or Beardsley Road to Cave Creek Road to cross the Pima Freeway and access 32nd Street.

Hayden Road at the Pima Freeway

  • The westbound Pima Freeway frontage road between Hayden and Scottsdale roads will be closed for approximately one year, beginning at 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, through November 2020.
    • Detour: Drivers can use the westbound Pima Freeway or Legacy Boulevard between Hayden and Scottsdale roads.
