The Arizona Department of Transportation reminds drivers in north Phoenix that the northbound I-17 on-ramp at Pinnacle Peak Road is scheduled to close around-the-clock for 10 days beginning at 10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7. The ramp is scheduled to reopen at 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17.
Detour: Drivers can use northbound 19th Avenue to Happy Valley or Jomax roads, and then head west to I-17.
The southbound I-17 exit ramp at Pinnacle Peak Road remains closed around-the-clock through 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17. Also, an 11-foot vehicle-width restriction remains in place on I-17 between Pinnacle Peak and Happy Valley roads.
Upcoming ramp closures:
- The southbound I-17 on-ramp at Pinnacle Peak Road is scheduled to close Friday, Nov. 15, at 10 p.m. and remain closed around-the-clock through the evening of Sunday, Dec. 22.
- Also on Nov. 15, the northbound I-17 exit ramp at Pinnacle Peak Road is scheduled to be closed around-the-clock through Monday, Jan. 6, 2020.
Upcoming closures of I-17 and of Pinnacle Peak Road
- North- and southbound I-17 are scheduled to be closed between Deer Valley and Happy Valley roads from 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, to 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17.
- Pinnacle Peak Road will be closed in both directions at I-17 – and all of the on- and off-ramps will be closed – from 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, to 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, while the existing bridge over I-17 is demolished.
