Road closures through Oct. 24 for Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) Improvement Project – Interstate 17 to Pima Road

Drivers who use the Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) between Interstate 17 in Phoenix and Princess Drive/Pima Road in Scottsdale should slow down in the construction zone and use caution while the following restrictions are in place:

WEEKEND CLOSURE

 32nd Street at the Pima Freeway

• North- and southbound 32nd Street will be closed at the Pima Freeway from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21.
• DETOUR: Drivers can use Rose Garden Lane or Beardsley Road and proceed west to Cave Creek Road to continue north/south travel.

UPCOMING CLOSURES

Pima Freeway at Cave Creek Road

• The eastbound Pima Freeway on-ramp at Cave Creek Road will be closed overnight from     9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday, Oct. 21, and continuing through the morning of Friday,  Oct. 25.
  • DETOUR: Travel south to Union Hills Drive and east to northbound State Route 51 to reconnect with the eastbound Pima Freeway.

32nd Street at the Pima Freeway

• North- and southbound 32nd Street will be closed at the Pima Freeway from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28.
• DETOUR: Drivers can use Rose Garden Lane or Beardsley Road and proceed west to Cave Creek Road for north/south travel.

16th Street at the Pima Freeway

• North- and southbound 16th Street will be closed at the Pima Freeway from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28.
• DETOUR: Use the frontage roads (Beardsley Road) to Cave Creek Road or Seventh Street to cross Loop 101 and return to 16th Street.

56th Street at the Pima Freeway

• North- and southbound 56th Street will be closed overnight at the Pima Freeway from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday, Oct. 21, and continuing through the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 23, and from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28.
• DETOUR:
  • Northbound: From 56th Street, drive eastbound on the Pima Freeway and exit at 64th Street. Re-enter the freeway driving westbound and exit at 56th Street to continue northbound travel on 56th Street.

• Southbound: From 56th Street, drive westbound on the Pima Freeway and exit at Tatum Boulevard. Re-enter the freeway driving eastbound and exit at 56th Street to continue southbound travel on 56th Street.

Scottsdale Road at the Pima Freeway

• North- and southbound Scottsdale Road will be closed overnight at the Pima Freeway from
  9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday, Oct. 21, and continuing through the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 23.
• DETOUR: Drivers south of Loop 101 can use Scottsdale Road and proceed south to Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and east to Hayden Road to access Loop 101. Drivers north of Loop 101 may use Scottsdale Road to Thompson Peak Parkway, and then proceed east to access Loop 101 at Hayden Road. 
• The north- and southbound Scottsdale Road left-turn bays to the east- and westbound Pima Freeway will be narrowed to one lane daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, and Tuesday, Oct. 22.

Hayden Road at the Pima Freeway

• The southbound Hayden Road left-turn bay to the eastbound Pima Freeway will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Wednesday, Oct. 23, and continuing through the morning of Friday, Oct. 25.
• DETOUR: Travel south on Hayden Road to Princess Drive, and then proceed east on Princess Drive to access Loop 101 at the Princess Drive/Pima Road interchange.
