The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers on the Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) to slow down, drive the posted speed limit and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the following closures are scheduled to be in place:
Weekend Closures
Pima Freeway, State Route 51 to Cave Creek Road

MAINLINE CLOSURE: The westbound Pima Freeway will be closed between State Route 51 and Cave Creek Road from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, to 5 a.m. Monday,
Sept. 16.
- The westbound on-ramps at Tatum Boulevard and 56th Street will be closed.
- The northbound SR 51 ramp to westbound Loop 101 and the westbound high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) ramp to southbound SR 51 also will be closed.

DETOUR: All westbound traffic on the Pima Freeway west of Tatum Boulevard will be detoured onto southbound SR 51. Westbound traffic may exit at Tatum Boulevard and use either Deer Valley Road or Union Hills Drive to reconnect to the Pima Freeway at Cave Creek Road.
Upcoming Closures
19th Avenue at the Pima Freeway
- North- and southbound 19th Avenue will be closed nightly at the Pima Freeway from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday, Sept. 16, through the morning of Wednesday, Sept 18.
56th Street at the Pima Freeway
- North- and southbound 56th Street will be closed nightly at the Pima Freeway from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday, Sept. 16 through the morning of Friday, Sept. 20.
