The second phase of a pavement preservation project on State Route 92 between Sierra Vista and Bisbee is scheduled to begin Monday, Aug. 26.
Crews will complete a chip seal on the highway between Baumkirchner Road, south of Sierra Vista, and the Bisbee roundabout. The work is expected to take about three weeks. Motorists will likely encounter delays on weekdays between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. and should expect intermittent lane closures with flaggers and pilot cars within the work zone. The speed limit will be reduced.
The Arizona Department of Transportation will maintain access to businesses, residences and local streets throughout the project.
Vehicles should proceed with caution, slow down, and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
