TRAFFIC ALERT: Plan for intermittent lane closures on Interstate 40 in Flagstaff starting July 29

Northern Arizona drivers who use Interstate 40 should plan for daytime delays while the Arizona Department of Transportation completes roadway work at the I-17 and Beulah Boulevard interchange in Flagstaff.  Motorists should expect delays due to intermittent lane closures on east- and westbound I-40 near Exit 195 (between milepost 195 and 196) now through Friday, August 9.

Contractors are scheduled to apply the final pavement striping and epoxy overlay repair between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m.  Work is expected to take approximately two weeks.

Drivers should allow extra travel time and plan for delays while construction is underway.  Drivers should obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices and use caution around construction personnel and equipment.
