Scottsdale Road closures near Loop 101 postponed

Closure of 15th Avenue bridge at Loop 101 starts Monday night

Overnight closures of Scottsdale Road near Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) on Monday and Tuesday nights (July 8-9) have been postponed, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The closures of Scottsdale Road between Mayo Boulevard and the westbound Loop 101 frontage road will be rescheduled as part of ADOT’s Pima Freeway widening project in the north Valley.

Scottsdale Road closures remain scheduled near Loop 101 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights (July 10-11).

The 15th Avenue bridge over Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) in north Phoenix will be closed starting Monday night, July 8, through late 2020 for construction to allow room for new freeway lanes under the bridge. Drivers should consider alternate routes, including Seventh and 19th avenues, while the bridge is closed.

The Loop 101 Pima Freeway Improvement Project is adding new travel lanes in areas along 13 miles of the freeway between Interstate 17 in north Phoenix and Pima Road/Princess Drive in north Scottsdale.

The project started in February and is scheduled for completion in early 2021.

Information about the Loop 101 improvements in the north Valley is available at azdot.gov/Loop101Improvements.
