TRAVEL ALERT: Pavement work on Interstate 40 in northern Arizona; ramp closures scheduled June 5- 8

Drivers on Interstate 40 in northern Arizona are advised to plan for travel delays due to ramp closures at Exit 191 (Business Loop) near Flagstaff while crews repair pavement between mileposts 190 and 195. The following ramp closures are scheduled to be in place from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.:

  • The westbound I-40 off-ramp will be closed Wednesday, June 5.
  • The eastbound I-40 on- and off-ramps will be closed Thursday, June 6.
  • The eastbound I-40 on-and off-ramps and the westbound I-40 off-ramp will be closed Friday, June 8, for shorter durations. These ramps will not be closed at the same time. 

DETOUR: I-40 traffic accessing Exit 191 will be detoured to the next exit to re-enter the interstate toward their destination.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
