Overnight lane closures set for State Route 86/Ajo Way March 25-27

Allow extra time for traffic shifts and lane closures

Motorists who use State Route 86/Ajo Way should expect lane closures the nights of March 25, 26 and 27 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

On Monday, March 25, and Tuesday, March 26, eastbound and westbound SR 86/Ajo Way will be reduced to a single lane in each direction between the Santa Cruz River Bridge and Holiday Isle Boulevard for asphalt patching.

On Wednesday, March 27, westbound SR 86/Ajo Way will be closed from the Santa Cruz River Bridge to Holiday Isle Boulevard for trench work and traffic lane shifts. One lane of eastbound SR 86/Ajo Way will remain open.

Residents who live off of SR 86/Ajo Way within the westbound closure will have access to and from their homes at all times using eastbound SR 86/Ajo Way.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
