Lane restrictions on several roadways in Mohave County beginning September 24

Drivers should plan ahead and allow for extra travel time while work is underway through October

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for restrictions beginning Monday, Sept. 24, and continuing through mid- October while maintenance crews make pavement improvements on several area roadways.

A pilot car and law enforcement will be assisting with traffic control while the following work is underway:

  • State Route 66 will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Horizon Boulevard and Hackberry Wash (mileposts 57 to 80), from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, through Thursday, Sept. 27.
  • State 95 will be reduced to one lane in both directions for overnight work between Sara Park and the SR 95/Interstate 40 traffic junction (mileposts 175 to 202),  from 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 24, through Thursday, Sept. 27.
  • State Route 68 will be reduced to one lane in both directions from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. in various locations in October or as noted below:
  • Union Pass to Magma Road (mileposts 14 to 22), Monday, Oct. 1, and Tuesday, Oct. 2  
  • Tooman Road to the SR 68/US 93 traffic junction (mileposts 25 to 27), Wednesday, Oct. 3
  • From just north of the Bullhead City/Laughlin Bridge intersection to near Union Pass (mileposts 3 to 14), Monday, Oct. 15, through Wednesday, Oct. 17
  • SR 68 will also be reduced to one lane in both directions at the Bullhead City/Laughlin bridge intersection (mileposts 0 to 3), from 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18 to 6:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19.
  • US 93 will be reduced to one lane in both directions in several areas near Wikieup from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Oct. 1, through Wednesday, Oct. 3.  
  • US 93 will be reduced to one lane in both directions in several areas north of Kingman from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3 and Thursday Oct. 4 and again from Tuesday, Oct. 9 through Thursday, Oct.11.  

Drivers should proceed with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
