PHOENIX – Services won’t be available much of Friday, Sept. 14, at the Interstate 8 Sentinel Rest Area west of Gila Bend due to work on the facility’s electrical systems.
Motorists will still be able to park at the rest area, located between mileposts 83 and 84, but restrooms, drinking fountains and vending machines won’t be available while the power is off. The work is expected to begin around 7:30 a.m. and may last until late in the afternoon.
The other ADOT rest area along I-8 between Gila Bend and the California state line is Mohawk at milepost 56.
