Interstate 17 weekend ramp closures scheduled at Deer Valley and Happy Valley roads for pavement improvement work

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers in the north Valley to use caution on I-17 at Happy Valley and Deer Valley roads this weekend. The following restrictions are scheduled to be in place:

  • Northbound exit to Deer Valley Road from the Loop 101 ramps at the I-17 interchange closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday (June 23-24) for city of Phoenix pavement-improvement work on Deer Valley Road. The northbound I-17 on-ramp at Deer Valley Road also will be closed. Expect lane restrictions along Deer Valley Road between 19th Avenue and I-17. DETOUR: Consider using Rose Garden Lane or Pinnacle Park Road as alternate routes.
  • Expect lane restrictions on Happy Valley Road west of I-17 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday (June 23-24) for city of Phoenix pavement-improvement work on Happy Valley Road. Lane restrictions planned on Happy Valley Road between 43rd Avenue and the roundabout on the west end of the I-17 interchange. DETOUR: Consider using alternate routes, including Pinnacle Peak Road.
