PHOENIX – Arizona Department of Transportation officers will partner with the Department of Public Safety this week to set up a mobile commercial vehicle inspection site along Interstate 40 at milepost 182, west of Flagstaff to ensure that all commercial vehicles are operating safely and complying with state and federal regulations.
The mobile site will be in operation from Tuesday, June 5, through Thursday, June 7. ADOT officers will perform weight enforcement and commercial vehicle inspections during this three-day special detail.
The aim of the enforcement detail is to help reduce commercial vehicle crashes along I-40 and other state highways.
All commercial vehicles are expected to stop for inspection at the mobile site. Citations will be issued to drivers trying to avoid the inspection station.
