Lane restrictions scheduled on State Route 79 for road repairs

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following restrictions on SR 79 between Oracle Junction and Florence for road repairs:

  • North- and southbound SR 79 will be reduced to one lane (alternating lane closures) from milepost 91 to 96 and milepost 110 to 115 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, April 16.
  • North- and southbound SR 79 will be reduced to one lane (alternating lane closures) from milepost 96 to 101 and milepost 115 to 120 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17.
  • North- and southbound SR 79 will be reduced to one lane (alternating lane closures) from milepost 101 to 106 and milepost 120 to 125 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18.
  • North- and southbound SR 79 will be reduced to one lane (alternating lane closures) from milepost 106 to 110 and milepost 125 to 128 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 19.

Drivers should expect up to 30-minute delays at each closure.

Please proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
