Lane Restrictions along Interstate 8 North Frontage Road in Yuma begin tomorrow

Drivers should prepare for minor delays in the Yuma Foothills

Arizona Department of Transportation crews are scheduled to begin pavement improvements on the North Frontage Road Pavement Improvement Project in the Yuma Foothills area on Tuesday, April 3.

Work is scheduled to occur from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow, and then resume from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, April 9, through Friday, April 20.  The following restrictions will be in place while work is underway:

  • One lane of traffic will remain open from Fortuna Road to Foothills Boulevard with flaggers on site to direct motorists through the work zone.
  • Temporary lane closures will be required, with reduced speeds in the construction zone.

Drivers should allow extra travel time and plan for delays while construction is underway. The North Frontage Road improvements are scheduled to be completed by summer 2018.

Drivers are asked to use caution, obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices, and use caution around construction personnel and equipment.
