Pavement maintenance on Interstate 8 in Yuma next week

Lane closures scheduled

 

The Arizona Department of Transportation will be seal coating the pavement on westbound Interstate 8 from Fortuna Road to Giss Parkway from 6 a.m. Monday (Nov. 21) through noon Wednesday (Nov. 23). One lane of the highway will be closed with the other lane remaining open to traffic.

 

The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph and drivers can anticipate delays of up to 10 minutes. Message boards and signs will be in place to direct traffic.

 

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
