Crews from the Arizona Department of Transportation are scheduled to complete cattle guard cleaning this week which will require lane shifts as necessary and flagging for a short distance at the Nelson Road overpass. Drivers should allow extra travel time and use alternate routes while the following restrictions are in place:
Drivers should expect brief
lane restrictions along State Route 587 (Casa Blanca Road) and Nelson
Road near Interstate 10 south of Chandler between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday,
Jan. 10, while crews perform maintenance on cattle guards. Interstate 10 will not be
restricted by the work, according to the Arizona Department of
Transportation. The work will start at the Nelson Road overpass Wednesday
morning and once completed, crews will switch the work zone to State Route 587 near
Interstate 10. Drivers should use caution when approaching and traveling through the
work areas.
